2018- A Very Different Year

Wow, who knew life could change so much?! Sorry for the complete blog silence. I'll give you a brief overview of what's been going on and a look ahead.

Back in November, I found a job that really called to me and after a lengthy process of interviews and drug testing, I was hired :) I started January 8th and am 3 weeks into an 8 week training program. Although I LOVE it and have adjusted to working full time, it does mean I won't be going to all the festivals or working from home with David. It's what's best for us right now, but will definitely cut down on my travel blog posts for a while. Last year was so much fun and I'm glad we got to take so many trips, including California. I'm thinking about writing a post just about that trip because it was truly a fantastic trip.

We are two months away from Deep Ellum in Dallas, TX. Always a favorite. David is busy making work and fine-tuning the booth taking into consideration that setup will just be him. We also have Butchertown on the books for this summer and I AM going to that one. A weekend in Louisville is always a good time.

This is hunker-down time around here. Winter is not our favorite time of year, that's for sure. It was especially hard to come back from sunny Southern California to cold drizzly Tennessee. So we spend lots of time inside right now, except when it's warmer and then we go for walks or hikes in the woods.

That's about it for news here. I do plan to keep blogging when I can. I'll try to capture some of the weirdness of our first trip out west. I still dream of making a series of tutorials here as well. I can't make any promises for the next 5 weeks :)

As always, thanks for reading (if anyone still even checks for new posts!)
